EEG, EMG & NCV

Electromyography (EMG) involves testing the electrical activity of muscles. Often, EMG testing is done with another test that measures the conducting function of nerves, known as Nerve Conduction Test. The department of Nerve conduction velocity test (NCV) at Shanti Gopal Hospital is highly experienced. NCV is an electrical test that is used to determine the adequacy of the conduction of the nerve impulse as it courses down a nerve. This test is used to detect signs of nerve injury. Our neurologists examine the EEG recording for abnormalities in the brain-wave pattern, which may reflect diseases of the nervous system.
